SunSun HW-602B External Aquarium Prefilter With 400L/H Pump

The SunSun HW-602B External Aquarium Prefilter is a compact and practical filtration system designed for both freshwater and marine aquariums. Supplied with its own 400L/h pump, the HW-602B can be used as a standalone mechanical filter or installed as a prefilter to support an existing external canister filter.

With a 1.5-litre filter capacity and three included sponge inserts, the unit effectively captures suspended debris and larger particles from aquarium water. When installed before a main external filter, it helps reduce the amount of mechanical waste reaching the primary filter media, which can help keep the main filter cleaner for longer and simplify routine maintenance.

The included energy-efficient 6W pump delivers up to 400 litres per hour with a maximum head height of 0.85m. Its compact 140 × 140 × 255mm dimensions make the HW-602B particularly useful where space around the aquarium is limited.

Use as a Prefilter or Standalone Filter

The HW-602B offers flexible installation options. It can be connected in combination with another external aquarium filter to provide additional mechanical prefiltration, or operated independently using the supplied 400L/h pump.

As a prefilter, the sponge media traps debris before it enters the main canister filter. This reduces the mechanical load placed on the primary filtration system and makes the easily accessible HW-602B the first point for regular cleaning.

Three-Stage Sponge Filtration

Three sponge inserts are supplied with the filter, providing a large mechanical filtration area inside the compact 1.5L canister. The sponges capture suspended particles and debris as aquarium water passes through the unit and can be removed for routine cleaning.

Compact External Design

Measuring only 140 × 140 × 255mm, the SunSun HW-602B provides external filtration without taking up valuable space inside the aquarium. The compact canister design is easy to incorporate into smaller aquarium installations and filtration systems.
