The SunSun HW-602A External Pre-Filter is a compact 1.5-litre external filter chamber designed to improve the performance of external canister filters by providing additional mechanical filtration. Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, it captures coarse debris before it reaches the main filter, reducing maintenance and helping biological filter media remain cleaner for longer.

The HW-602A can also be used as a standalone external filter when connected to a compatible circulation pump, making it a flexible solution for a variety of aquarium filtration systems.

Supplied with three mechanical sponge filter pads, the unit efficiently traps suspended particles, uneaten food, fish waste, and plant debris. Integrated inlet and outlet valves allow the water flow to be adjusted or completely shut off, making routine maintenance quick and convenient.
