The SunSun HBL-501 is a compact hang-on-back (cascade) aquarium filter designed for freshwater and marine aquariums from 30 to 100 litres. Combining mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration with an integrated surface skimmer, it helps maintain crystal-clear water while removing floating debris, protein film, and surface waste.

The filter features dual water intake, allowing water to be drawn both from the lower part of the aquarium and directly from the surface using the included skimmer attachment. This effectively removes oils, floating plant debris, and protein film while improving gas exchange and water quality.

Supplied with a sponge filter cartridge and an activated carbon cartridge wrapped in filter floss, the HBL-501 delivers complete filtration straight out of the box. The adjustable flow control allows you to customise the water movement, making the filter suitable for a wide range of aquarium setups.

Its external hang-on design saves valuable space inside the aquarium, while the waterfall return naturally oxygenates the water.
