Seachem Equilibrium 300g – Mineral Supplement for Planted Aquariums & RO Water

Seachem Equilibrium is a premium mineral supplement developed specifically for planted freshwater aquariums. It restores essential minerals to reverse osmosis (RO), deionised, or distilled water, increasing general hardness (GH) without significantly affecting carbonate hardness (KH).

Unlike many competing remineralising products, Equilibrium contains no sodium or chloride, which can accumulate in aquarium water and may negatively affect sensitive aquatic plants. Instead, it provides a balanced blend of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and manganese to support healthy plant growth, vibrant colours, and normal fish metabolism.

Equilibrium is ideal for aquarists using purified water who need complete control over water mineral content. For adjusting carbonate hardness (KH), Seachem recommends using Alkaline Buffer separately.

Directions for Use

When preparing RO, distilled, or deionised water:

• Add 16 g (approximately 1 tablespoon) per 80 litres of water.
• This increases general hardness (GH) by approximately 3°dH (1 meq/L).

For best results:

• Dissolve the powder in approximately 1 litre of water before adding it to the aquarium.
• Temporary cloudiness may occur and normally disappears within 15–30 minutes.

Important Information

• Do not use when topping up evaporated water.
• Designed for use with RO, distilled, or deionised water.
• If using water from another source, measure the existing GH before dosing.
• Recommended GH for most planted aquariums is 3–6°dH.
