Seachem Ammonia Alert® – Continuous Ammonia Monitor for Freshwater & Marine Aquariums

Seachem Ammonia Alert® is a reusable continuous ammonia monitor that provides 24/7 detection of toxic free ammonia (NH₃) in freshwater and marine aquariums. Unlike traditional liquid test kits, it continuously monitors water quality without requiring chemicals, water samples, or regular testing procedures.

The built-in sensor changes colour according to the concentration of free ammonia, allowing you to identify dangerous ammonia levels before fish begin to show signs of stress. The indicator changes from yellow (safe) to green, then blue as ammonia concentrations increase.

Ammonia Alert detects free ammonia concentrations as low as 0.05 mg/L (ppm) and typically responds within 15 minutes when ammonia levels rise. Once ammonia is removed, the sensor gradually returns to the safe colour over approximately 4 hours.

Designed for long-term use, each monitor lasts for over one year, making it an economical alternative to disposable test kits. Its compact, transparent design remains discreet inside the aquarium.
