AZOO KH PLUS 500ml – Carbonate Hardness (KH) Booster for Aquariums

AZOO KH PLUS is a water conditioner designed to safely increase carbonate hardness (KH) in freshwater, planted, marine, and reef aquariums. By raising KH, it strengthens the water’s pH buffering capacity, helping to stabilise pH and reduce sudden fluctuations that can stress aquarium inhabitants.

Carbonate hardness is one of the most important water parameters in an aquarium. A stable KH level helps maintain consistent water chemistry by making the pH more resistant to changes caused by dissolved CO₂, biological processes, decomposing organic matter, ammonia, and carbonate-containing rocks.

Maintaining the correct KH helps reduce stress, improves fish health and colouration, encourages normal feeding behaviour, and supports the long-term wellbeing of fish, shrimp, corals, and aquatic plants.

Recommended KH Levels

Typical aquarium recommendations:

• Planted aquariums: 4–6 °dKH
• Community aquariums: 5–8 °dKH
• Marine aquariums: 9–14 °dKH

These values are intended as general guidelines.

Dosage

• Add 30 ml per 100 litres of aquarium water to increase KH by approximately 1 °dKH.

Important:

• Do not increase KH by more than 2 °dKH per day.
• Shake well before use.
• Add the product near the filter inlet for even distribution.
• Monitor KH regularly using an appropriate KH test.
• Close the bottle tightly after use and store away from direct sunlight.
