Aquael VersaMax FZN-1 Hang-On Filter 500L/H for Aquariums 20–100L

The Aquael VersaMax FZN-1 is a compact and efficient hang-on-back (cascade) aquarium filter designed for freshwater aquariums and marine nano aquariums from 20 to 100 litres. Delivering effective mechanical and biological filtration, it keeps aquarium water crystal clear while taking up virtually no space inside the aquarium.

The filter is mounted externally on the aquarium wall, drawing water from the lower part of the tank before passing it through the filter media and returning it via a gentle waterfall. This continuous circulation enhances oxygen exchange and creates a healthier environment for fish, shrimp, and aquatic plants.

The dual filter basket design allows you to customise the filtration by combining different filter media. The included sponge insert provides excellent mechanical and biological filtration, while optional biological or chemical media such as activated carbon or phosphate removers can be added to suit your aquarium’s needs. The VersaMax FZN-1 is also compatible with the Aquael Multi UV-C Steriliser (sold separately) for improved water clarity.

The adjustable flow control lets you easily adapt the filter output to suit both smaller and larger aquariums, while the adjustable mounting angle ensures a perfect fit on various aquarium designs.
