The Aqua Nova XCF-1800 is a professional external canister filter designed to provide powerful mechanical, biological and UV filtration for freshwater and marine aquariums up to 500 litres. With an impressive maximum flow rate of 1,800 l/h, it delivers excellent water circulation while maintaining crystal-clear, healthy water for fish, plants and corals.

Equipped with an integrated 9W UV-C steriliser, the XCF-1800 helps combat green water, algae spores, bacteria and other harmful microorganisms. The UV system offers three operating modes, allowing continuous operation or timed cycles of 4 or 8 hours, giving you greater control over sterilisation according to your aquarium’s requirements.

Inside the filter, five spacious media baskets provide ample capacity for multi-stage filtration. The supplied mechanical sponge removes suspended debris, while the included ceramic media offers an ideal surface for beneficial nitrifying bacteria responsible for biological filtration and maintaining a stable nitrogen cycle. This combination promotes excellent water clarity while supporting a healthy aquatic environment.

Installation and routine maintenance have been designed to be as simple as possible. The automatic priming system eliminates the need for manual siphoning during setup, while independent inlet and outlet valves allow the filter to be disconnected for servicing without draining the hose system or causing unnecessary leaks.

The ceramic impeller shaft ensures exceptionally quiet operation while offering excellent durability and resistance to corrosion, making the filter suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums. Despite its high filtration performance, the pump consumes just 22W, providing an efficient and economical solution for larger aquariums.
