The Aqua Nova NSF-R200L Sponge Filter is a reliable air-driven aquarium filter designed for freshwater, marine, shrimp, breeding, and community aquariums up to 200 litres. It provides efficient mechanical and biological filtration while producing a gentle water flow that is safe for shrimp, fry, and delicate fish.

Powered by an external air pump (not included), the NSF-R200L effectively removes uneaten food, plant debris, and suspended waste particles. The high-quality porous sponge provides a large surface area for beneficial nitrifying bacteria, which naturally convert harmful ammonia and nitrites into less harmful compounds, helping to maintain excellent water quality and a stable biological balance.

Its compact design makes it ideal for shrimp tanks, breeding aquariums, spawning tanks, fry grow-out systems, quarantine tanks, discus breeding setups, hatcheries, and community aquariums where gentle filtration is essential.

The dense sponge also supports the growth of microorganisms that provide a natural food source for shrimp and newly hatched fry.

Installation is quick and simple. Connect the filter to a standard 4/6 mm airline and an external air pump (sold separately). For added protection, it is recommended to install an airline check valve (not included) to prevent water from siphoning back into the air pump during power outages.
