Aqua Nova NSF-MAXBIO-200L Sponge Filter with Ceramic Media for Aquariums up to 200L

The Aqua Nova NSF-MAXBIO-200L is an advanced air-driven sponge filter designed for freshwater, marine, shrimp, breeding, and community aquariums up to 200 litres. Combining dual sponge filtration with two biological media chambers filled with ceramic rings, it delivers exceptional mechanical and biological filtration while maintaining a gentle water flow that is safe for shrimp, fry, and delicate fish.

Powered by an external air pump (not included), the NSF-MAXBIO-200L efficiently removes suspended waste such as uneaten food, plant debris, and organic particles. The two high-density filter sponges provide excellent mechanical filtration while also creating a large surface area for beneficial nitrifying bacteria.

To further enhance biological filtration, the filter includes two media chambers pre-filled with ceramic rings, offering additional surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonise. The media chambers can also be customised with alternative filtration media such as activated carbon, zeolite, or other biological media depending on the aquarium’s specific requirements.

The adjustable telescopic outlet allows the filter height to be extended from 23 cm to 35 cm, making it suitable for a wide range of aquarium sizes and water levels. The media chambers can also be rotated towards the substrate for flexible positioning.

The NSF-MAXBIO-200L is an excellent choice for shrimp tanks, breeding aquariums, fry grow-out systems, quarantine tanks, discus breeding setups, planted aquariums, and community aquariums, where gentle yet highly effective filtration is essential.

Installation is quick and easy. Simply connect the filter to a standard 4/6 mm airline and an external air pump (sold separately). For additional protection, using an airline check valve (not included) is recommended to prevent water from siphoning back into the air pump during power outages.
