The Aqua Nova NSF-C40L Corner Sponge Filter is a compact air-driven corner aquarium filter designed for freshwater, marine, shrimp, breeding, and nano aquariums up to 40 litres. Its space-saving corner design fits neatly into the aquarium while providing efficient mechanical and biological filtration with a gentle water flow that is safe for shrimp, fry, and delicate fish.

Powered by an external air pump (not included), the NSF-C40L effectively removes uneaten food, plant debris, and suspended waste particles. The high-quality porous sponge also provides an excellent habitat for beneficial nitrifying bacteria, which naturally break down harmful ammonia and nitrites, helping maintain healthy and stable water conditions.

Its compact size makes it an ideal choice for nano aquariums, shrimp tanks, breeding tanks, spawning aquariums, fry grow-out systems, quarantine tanks, and small community aquariums. The dense sponge also encourages the growth of microorganisms that provide a natural food source for shrimp and newly hatched fry.

Installation is quick and simple. Connect the filter to a standard 4/6 mm airline and an external air pump (sold separately). For added protection, it is recommended to install an airline check valve (not included) to prevent water from siphoning back into the air pump during power outages.
