Aqua Nova NSF-200L Double Sponge Filter for Aquariums up to 200L

The Aqua Nova NSF-200L Double Sponge Filter is a high-performance air-driven aquarium filter designed for freshwater, marine, shrimp, breeding, and grow-out aquariums up to 200 litres. Featuring a dual sponge design, it provides highly efficient mechanical and biological filtration while maintaining a gentle water flow that is safe for shrimp, fry, and delicate fish species.

Powered by an external air pump (not included), the NSF-200L effectively removes suspended debris such as uneaten food, plant matter, and waste particles. At the same time, the large porous sponge surfaces provide an ideal habitat for beneficial nitrifying bacteria, which naturally convert harmful ammonia and nitrites into less harmful compounds, helping maintain stable water quality.

The double sponge construction offers a larger filtration surface than single sponge filters, allowing longer maintenance intervals and increased biological filtration capacity. It is particularly well suited for shrimp tanks, breeding aquariums, fry grow-out systems, quarantine tanks, discus breeding setups, and community aquariums where gentle yet efficient filtration is essential.

Maintenance is quick and simple. The sponges can be removed individually and rinsed in aquarium water, helping preserve beneficial bacteria while keeping filtration performance at its best.

Simply connect the filter to a standard aquarium air pump using 4/6 mm airline tubing (sold separately). For added protection, using an airline check valve is recommended to prevent water from siphoning into the air pump during power outages.
